Total Life in Christ Ministry held its annual flagship gathering, Olorun Ajulo 2025, on Friday, July 4, at the Felicia Hall of Jogor Centre, Ibadan, with the theme, “The Needed Man” (2 Kings 3:11–12).
The event drew ministers, worshippers, youth, and women into a night-long experience of teaching, worship, prophecy, and empowerment.
Hosted by the ministry’s leaders, Daddy and Rev. Dr. Mrs. Adenike Victor-Tade, the programme was designed to address both spiritual and societal concerns, combining both scriptural teachings with initiatives that encouraged leadership, civic responsibility, and economic uplift , particularly among youths and women.
In her opening remarks, Rev. Dr. Mrs. Adenike Victor-Tade explained the vision and journey of the event.
“This program is a key annual event for our ministry. Though we started in Kaduna 30 years ago, this is the 12th edition in Ibadan. It is designed to empower youths and women by addressing their spiritual, economic, marital, and leadership needs,” she said.
Speaking with conviction, she explained the urgency and national relevance of the 2025 theme.
“We need a man who will transform governance and the economy, someone ready to pay the price, stand firm, whose ‘yes’ is ‘yes’ and ‘no’ is ‘no’,” she declared.
She added: “Do Nigerians not need such a man to take us back to God? 2027 is here, and politicians have started lobbying. Youths should not sell their tomorrow. We are looking for men and women who fear God, who will lead families with integrity, build communities with love, and serve this nation with honesty.”
Alhough, His Excellency, Former President Olusegun Obasanjo could not participate physically as promised. He handled the topic via telephone call reinforcing the theme.
His words: “Everybody is the needed man. God has not created anyone without purpose. The purpose for which we were created aligns with God’s design, to serve humanity and to serve God.”
The former president continued: “Our families need us. Our communities need us. Our nation needs us. We are needed at every level and in every circumstance.”
He ended with a reminder of the personal responsibility that comes with calling: “A needed man must be prepared. You cannot fulfil God’s assignment without first submitting to His process. Preparation is what equips us to carry out the purpose God has for us.”
In his Bible exposition, the guest speaker, Rev. Dr. Jerry Akinsola further explained the further. He described the qualities of those who are not “needed” in divine and societal assignments as “pretenders, people with titles but no testimonies, polluted men, position-seekers without purpose, people-pleasers, and the indifferent.”
In contrast, he identified the traits of “the needed man” as “faithful in service, available and responsive, intimate with God, truthful and bold, holy, wise, flexible, collaborative, and loyal to the end.”
He concluded by challenging the Nigerian Church to “raise such men, those who will stand in the gap for both the nation and the body of Christ.”
Also ministering during the programme was Rev’d Dr. Adeyemi Adekunle, who led prophetic declarations and spiritual charges, urging believers to rise into their divine assignments and national responsibilities.
A major highlight of the evening was a keynote lecture by Pastor Mrs. Afolabi Oluwatoyin of the Lagos State Coconut Development Authority, who spoke on “Unlocking Potentials in the Coconut Value Chain.”
She described coconut as a “multi-use crop,” noting that “virtually every part of it is economically viable, from oil and fibre to crafts, food and beverage.”
She encouraged young people to tap into agriculture as a tool for self-reliance and national growth.
“Despite infrastructure and financing challenges, coconut business holds great opportunities. What’s needed is policy support, awareness, and empowerment. Even small capital can begin the journey to big returns,” she explained.
To demonstrate this, the ministry empowered some participants with ₦50,000 each, selected through a raffle draw, to help them kick-start ventures in the coconut business.
The programme also featured an youth-led discussion on marriage expectations, facilitated by Rev’d Dr Victor Tade, Omotosho Abigail, Adesoji Lawrence, Kayode Sobalaje, and Zion Victor-Tade. The panel explored godly values, emotional intelligence, and vision alignment in choosing a life partner.
Other highlights of the night was charged with praise and worship, with musical ministrations by Alajiike Elewi, Sade Apoti Eri Odekunle, Tope Wonder (Talking Drums), Minister Tosin Joseph, Adeola Praise, and a performance by students of Aries Polytechnic.
