The Chief Executive Officer of Raylink Group of Companies, Alhaji Quazeem Oreitan, has congratulated the Chief Executive Officer of Weeldrop Oil, Mr. Adewale Oladiti, on his appointment as the Oyo State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, describing the development as “a round peg in a round hole.”
Oreitan, in a congratulatory message made available to journalists on Friday, said Oladiti’s emergence was a testament to his years of dedication to grassroots mobilisation, leadership and service, expressing confidence that he would justify the confidence reposed in him.
“I heartily congratulate my brother, Adewale Oladiti, on this well-deserved appointment as the Oyo State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement. Without any doubt, this is a case of putting a round peg in a round hole,” Oreitan said.
He added, “Mr Oladiti has consistently demonstrated commitment, loyalty and capacity in every assignment entrusted to him. His ability to mobilise people, build relationships and provide purposeful leadership makes him eminently qualified for this responsibility.”
The City Boy Movement recently announced Oladiti’s appointment as its Oyo State Coordinator, succeeding the immediate past coordinator, Chief Ahmed Ajibola, the Chief Executive Officer of Copacopana, who led the affairs of the movement in the state before the latest leadership reshuffle.
Oladiti is the Chief Executive Officer of Weeldrop Oil, a prominent oil and gas company based in Ibadan. He is also the son of the President of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, a background that has further distinguished him within both the business and labour communities.
Before his latest appointment, Oladiti served as the Oyo State Coordinator of the Southwest Agenda for Asiwaju during the 2023 Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign, where he played a key role in coordinating grassroots mobilisation and campaign activities across the state.
Commending the leadership of the movement for the appointment, Oreitan said the decision reflected a commitment to competence and effective leadership.
“The leadership of the City Boy Movement deserves commendation for identifying a capable individual for this strategic position. I have no doubt that under Wale’s leadership, the movement will witness greater expansion, stronger grassroots engagement and renewed commitment to its objectives in Oyo State,” he said.
Oreitan urged members of the movement to rally behind the new coordinator, stressing that collective support would be crucial to achieving the group’s vision.
“I encourage all members and stakeholders to give him their maximum support and cooperation. Leadership succeeds when followers are united behind a common purpose. I wish him wisdom, strength and outstanding success as he begins this new assignment,” he added.
