The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted accreditation to seven new programmes and re-accredited five existing programmes at Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa (AOPE), following a recent accreditation visitation to the institution.
The latest exercise, which took place between July 29 and 31, 2026, further strengthens the Polytechnic’s academic offerings and reflects its growing capacity to provide relevant, industry-focused technical and professional education.
The five existing programmes that received re-accreditation are:
ND Mass Communication
ND Statistics
HND Science Laboratory Technology (Microbiology)
HND Science Laboratory Technology (Biochemistry)
HND Arts and Industrial Design (Textile Option)
In a significant expansion of its academic portfolio, the Polytechnic also secured accreditation for seven new programmes, namely:
ND Local Government and Development Studies
ND Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering
ND Law
ND Geological Technology
ND Criminology, Legal and Security Studies
HND Architectural Technology
HND Strategic Communication and Media Studies
The development brings new opportunities for prospective students seeking admission into the Polytechnic, with the institution already commencing admission processes for the newly accredited programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Speaking on the development, the Rector of the Institution, Professor Jonathan Adedokun, expressed appreciation to the NBTE for its continued confidence in the institution.
Professor Adedokun also commended the Governing Council, Management, staff and students of the Polytechnic for their collective efforts towards maintaining the required academic and institutional standards.
According to him, the latest accreditation outcome is another indication of the Polytechnic’s commitment to continuous improvement and the provision of programmes that respond to the changing needs of society and the labour market.
He encouraged prospective students to take advantage of the newly accredited programmes and apply for admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The latest achievement comes on the heels of the Polytechnic’s successful NBTE accreditation exercise reported last year, during which 11 existing programmes were re-accredited and five new programmes received approval.
