Not less than 500 youths and adults are targeted by O’tope Foundation in a bid to end the high rate of poverty in Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency.
The Foundation which came into existence in December 2020 has made impact in the lives of the constituents by empowering them through learning of skills as well as helping them to start the work by Hon Temitope Yemisola Oladimeji President, O’tope Foundation.
While Speaking, the coordinator of the Foundation, Deacon Ayinde Gbedeogun spoke on the importance of the foundation in the lives of the people living around and how Hon Temitope Yemisola Oladimeji has been able to make a difference despite not being in any political office.
“The Foundation is committed to help the people by giving the rightful tool to them. Hon Temitope Yemisola Oladimeji who is the president knows what it takes not to have the tool and that is why his paramount motive to help the people of Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency despite not being in any political office.
“We have students from all part of the two local government areas coming to learn skills such as fashion designing, bakery, catering, hair dressing and others with over 500 people set to enjoy this offer. We will ensure we set them up after the training because we want to utilize the knowledge pass on to them in rightful manners.”
Supervisor of O’tope Foundation, Prophetess Fagbure Tinuola in her words was full of praise for Hon Temitope Yemisola Oladimeji for the love he has for helping the people at the grassroots as it is strange to have someone with such heart of giving back to the society despite not being in any political office in the nation.
She added that both male and female as well as old and young are enjoying the opportunity.
“Hon Temitope Yemisola Oladimeji, we must say he is a wonderful man that we cherish for his impact in the lives of young and old in this environment. As you can see for yourself we have students who are currently benefitting from the initiative to secure and put end to poverty. This act is also an act of kindness that we all must emulate and it is not necessary until we are in power before we can show kindness to the people who need help in one way or the other.”
Beneficiaries who spoke expressed their gratitude to the President for having the love of the people at heart by founding the foundation which has numerical people to end to poverty in the lives.
Mrs Sola Suliamon, a beneficiary in her 60s said learning about catering in the foundation has really helped her as she is acquiring the knowledge with ease with her daughter in law also learning about soap making despite being a teacher.
“I will forever be grateful to this foundation for how they have been able to impact lives positively, we are grateful.”
