The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi are among dignitaries expected to grace the grand finale of the 2018 edition of Saki Day, chairman of the Central Planning Committee and former Minority leader of the State House of Assembly, Honourable Rafiu Adekunle, has said.
While the Minister of communications, Adebayo Shittu, is the chief host and Mrs Wumi Ogunesan, Head of Service of the state will serve as the mother of the day, Chief Bamidele Dada, who is a former Minister of State for Agriculture will chair the occasion expected to also have Honourable Mulikat Akande-Adeola as chairperson.
Speaking at a news conference over the weekend, the committee chairman listed some of the projects for which the money realised through an appeal fund for the ceremony would be spent to include completion of ongoing vocational centre in the town, construction of classrooms for the proposed Command School, lecture hall for The Oke Ogun Polytechnic, ultra-modern city hall for Saki and other projects.
He said the developmental projects were strategic to the continued well being of Saki community, adding that lectures would also be delivered on education and economic enterprises.
