Another record was broken at the University of Ibadan, UI, last week as Asheeyata Bolatito Lanre-Abass was elevated to the professorial cadre of the institution, becoming the first female Muslim to reach that academic height in the 69-year old institution.
Asheeyata, who had her first and second degree at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, before capping it with a doctorate degree in Philosophy from UI, was one of the 13 new professors announced the institution’s vice-chancelor, Prof. Abel Idowu Olayinka
