The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) has displayed and posted the authentic Form EC9 confirming the name of Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke as the Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress, (ADC) in Oyo State.
Adegoke Taofeek Adegboyega’s Form EC9 was posted by the INEC midnight Saturday.
The name which was displayed alongside other Governorship Candidates of the other political parties in different states where elections will be conducted in 2027 is in fulfilment of the Timetable set by the INEC for the 2027 General Elections.
INEC in the timetable has said that it will on Saturday 29th August displays names of various governorship candidates as submitted by various political parties.
INEC will on Saturday February 6, 2027 conducts governorship elections.
The governorship elections will be held in Oyo and 27 other states, while State Houses of Assembly elections will take place across the 36 states of the federation
When contacted on the development, the Media Team of Olooye Adegoke said they have no inkling of doubt even before the INEC display of Adegoke’s Name that their principal is the authentic governorship candidate of the ADC in Oyo State.
“We know our principal, Olooye Adegoke went through the Governorship primaries of the ADC which was duly supervised by the INEC and came top to emerge as the Oyo State Governorship Candidate of the party. This display of our Principal’s name should put to rest the claim by another aspirant that he is the candidate of the party.
“We therefore urge all other aspirants and their supporters to desist forthwith from any further misrepresentations and to respect the decision of the party and the position of INEC.
