The Chairmanship Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) in Oorelope Local Government, Hon Moses Adebayo Alao, has described the death of the Spiritual Head of the Ona Iwa Mimo Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Worldwide, His Eminence, Baba Aladura Joseph Aderibigbe Ibikunle, JP as the end of a glorious era.
Alao, in a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday, bade farewell to Baba Aladura Ibikunle, who he described as spiritual compass, noting that he lived a great life and made lasting impact on the church, the Christendom and humanity.
He prayed to God to grant repose to the soul of the deceased spiritual leader, noting that his death has made one of his (Alao’s) wishes unfulfilled.
He condoled with the leadership and membership of the Ona Iwa Mimo C&S Church Worldwide, praying that God will continue stand by and uphold the church.
He said: “Farewell, our Father and Spiritual Compass, Baba Aladura Joseph Aderibigbe Ibikunle, the Supreme Head of Ona Iwa Mimo Worldwide.
“Your exit is glorious, but it made one of my wishes unfulfilled. I celebrate your impactful life and pray God to give you a special place with the saints triumphant!
“What’s the wish? The attached photo, taken in 2020, during the installation of my dear mother as a Mother-in-Isreal, came to be because Baba Aladura insisted that I kneel down and he anointed me like my mum.
“Baba, I wanted to tell you before the whole congregation and before the God of Adeola Asakiatu at the 2026 Pilgrimage, that the anointing broke the yoke of many years of political aspiration without results, as I have emerged as the APM Candidate for the position of Executive Chairman of Oorelope Local Government!
“While I bid you farewell, I am using this post to thank God for your amazing life and for the leadership you provided to the Ona Iwa Mimo Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Worldwide!
“My wish to testify still stands…God keeping us, I will still let the world know that you prayed and God answered. I will testify that, indeed, God answers prayers at Ori Oke Igboho!
