The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of 24News Radio-TV International Ltd, Ahmed Salami, has congratulated Professor Habibat Omolara Adubairo on her reappointment as Secretary to the Ekiti State Government (SSG) by Governor Biodun Oyebanji, describing the appointment as an opportunity for her to continue contributing to the development of the state.
Salami, who disclosed that he had known the professor for nearly three decades, said his admiration for her was rooted partly in her longstanding relationship with his late mother, who died 20 years ago.
He explained that Professor Adubairo was a close associate of his mother through their membership of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN), a relationship that earned her a special place in his family’s history.
According to him, growing up with the knowledge of the close bond between the two women has given him a deep sense of respect and appreciation for the reappointed SSG.
Salami said his longstanding familiarity with Professor Adubairo had strengthened his confidence in her ability to discharge the responsibilities of her office, noting that her reappointment presented another opportunity to contribute her experience and administrative knowledge to the governance of Ekiti State.
He described the office of the Secretary to the State Government as a strategic position in the machinery of government, particularly in policy coordination, administrative efficiency and the implementation of government programmes.
He expressed the hope that her continued service would further strengthen institutional coordination, promote effective governance and support policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of Ekiti residents.
Salami also urged the reappointed SSG to sustain her commitment to professionalism, integrity, diligence and service to humanity while working with other stakeholders to promote peace, unity and sustainable development across the state.
“Professor Adubairo is someone I have known for nearly three decades, particularly through her close relationship with my late mother, who was her associate in the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN).
“My mother passed away 20 years ago, but the memories of the relationships she built with people she held dear remain precious to our family. Professor Adubairo is one of those individuals whose connection with my late mother has continued to command my respect and admiration.
“Beyond this personal connection, I have confidence in her ability to handle the responsibilities entrusted to her. I sincerely congratulate her on this reappointment and wish her greater accomplishments in the service of Ekiti State,” Salami said.
He added that 24News Radio-TV International Ltd, as a media organisation committed to responsible journalism and the promotion of good governance, recognised the importance of continuity, effective administration and public service in advancing the development of the state.
Salami prayed that Almighty God would grant Professor Adubairo wisdom, sound health, strength and divine guidance as she continues to serve Ekiti State.
He wished her a successful and impactful tenure, expressing hope that her service would contribute to the peace, progress and prosperity of the state.
