A total number of 90,469 newly arrived Permanent Voters Cards are ready for Collection in Oyo State, insideOYO.com has gathered.
The State has recently received a total number of 90,469 PVCs ready for collection covering the first quarter (January – February) 2018, excluding the transferred PVCs.
Hon . REC Barr Mutiu Agboke stated this during a media briefing at the State Office on Monday adding that the figure of the transferred PVCs in Oyo State in general still remained at 43,906 PVCs.
He noted further that, sorting out of the newly received PVCs would be carried out before being distributed to respective INEC Local Government Offices for collection.
Barr. Agboke maintained that, the figure of uncollected PVCs still remained at 791,617, urging all electorates to visit their respective INEC Local Government Offices for prompt collection of their PVCs.
In a related development, REC added that the recently established “Call Desks”at the State to decongest the large number of uncollected PVCs was in progress urging all electorate to have a positive mind set towards the collection of these unclaimed PVCs.
Barr. Agboke also commented that the Commission’s role in the recently concluded Political Parties Primaries Elections across the State was just to serve as “an observer” as Political Parties have their peculiar way of handling challenges associated with Parties Primaries’ Election.
