The first Babaloja General of Oyo State, Alhaji Chief Asiwaju Yekini Abass Oladapo, has felicitated with Muslims, especially traders in the state.
He extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful as they joined their counterparts across the world in celebrating this year’s Eid-el-Adha.
In a release made available to newsmen in Ibadan, the state capital, Alhaji Y.K. Abass felicitated with Governor Seyi Makinde, the Deputy Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal, the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiy Agbotomokekere, the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta, and other Islamic leaders in the state.
Asiwaju Y.K. Abass also felicitated with the Market Leaders Council, zonal market leaders in Ibarapa, Oyo, Oke-Ogun, Ogbomoso, and Ibadanland.
The Babaloja General used the occasion to urge all traders and market leaders to follow the lesson of Eid-el-Adha and show love to all.
The Babaloja General called on adherents of Islam to embrace peace, unity, and love, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, who complied with Allah’s directive.
