A former Executive Chairman of Olorunsogo Local Government, Hon. (Evangelist) Williams Gbenjo Ogunrinde, has commended members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Oyo North Senatorial District for their massive support for Chief Mrs. Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan during the recently concluded senatorial primary election.
Ogunrinde, in an appreciation message made available to journalists, expressed gratitude to party leaders, delegates, stakeholders, women, youths and loyal members of the APC across the thirteen local government areas of the district for what he described as their unwavering commitment to the party and its progressive ideals.
He noted that the victory recorded by Ogunesan at the primary election was a reflection of the confidence and trust the people of Oyo North have in her leadership capacity, experience and dedication to service.
According to him, the APC senatorial candidate has distinguished herself as a committed party loyalist and a woman with the vision and courage needed to effectively represent the district.
Ogunrinde also applauded the peaceful conduct of the primary election, describing the maturity, unity and sportsmanship displayed by party members as a positive sign for the future of the APC in the zone.
He stressed that the successful outcome of the exercise had further strengthened the party ahead of the forthcoming general election.
The former local government chairman, however, urged members of the party not to relent in their efforts, saying the task ahead requires greater unity and commitment from all stakeholders across Oke-Ogun and Ogbomoso axis of the senatorial district.
He called on APC faithful to mobilise support at the grassroots and work collectively to ensure a resounding victory for the party at the polls.
“The victory of Chief Mrs. Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan is the victory of Oyo North. It is also a victory for the APC and the people of the district who believe in progressive leadership and development,” he stated.
Ogunrinde further prayed for continued peace, unity and progress in Oyo North Senatorial District, Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
