The Oyo State House of Assembly has passed the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo Bill, 2022 into law.
The Bill was passed on Wednesday after its clause by clause consideration
With this development, the Law has made provisions for the establishment, constitution and functions of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education in Oyo.
The Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin who presided over the plenary described the passage of the bill as another milestone in the history of the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly.
In his reaction, the Minority Leader of the Assembly, Hon Asimiyu Alarape congratulated the lawmakers for the passage and expressed the appreciation of the people of Oyo town to the State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde for the Executive bill.
Hon Alarape who said it was a dream come true added that the agitation had been on for a long time.
The APC whip , Hon Isiaka Kazeem Tunde who also lauded the Governor said the passage will enhance the socioeconomic activities of the ancient while equally bringing quality teacher education to the people of Oyo State in general.
