In a bid to protect animal health and promote well-being in the society, a veterinary clinic, Moovet Animal Care was on Tuesday launched in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state.
The CEO of Moovet Animal care, Dr Michael Oguntayo, in his goodwill and dedication speech gave the reasons for creating the veterinary clinic.
He said: “It has always been something that I have always looked forward to; to have a veterinary clinic and render quality service to a lot people at the same time. Animals will be getting the right treatment.
“This location is really strategic, as we can reach out to people easily. It is really assessible. We will be giving best of services. I hope at the end of five years we would have become big and moved to our permanent site.”
Also giving his opening remarks, the President, Association of Private Veterinary Medical Practitioners, Oyo state, Dr Bolaji Olaomo, revealed that veterinary service is one of the most consequential services around as the respective patients cannot speak which will hence, require special qualifications to pull through.
He said further: “Taking care of animals is not an easy job, and so I commend the CEO of Moovet for thinking of creating this edifice for the use of humanity.
“I’m very sure that he will use his expertise and education to protect and improve both human and animal health. So I congratulate this community for having this centre in their environment.”
While emphasizing on the privileges that will be enjoyed from the veterinary centre, the Chairman, Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association, Oyo state branch, Dr Moses Arokoyo, said: “First, I’m happy that this centre is coming into reality as we are beginning to see more and more veterinary professionals taking on the challenge of creating sanity in the profession. This, I’m sure that the members of this community will enjoy the privileges of veterinary services on the prevention, control, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of animals.”
Moovet Animal Care is located at Aafin Iyanu Junction, Ologuneru, Eleyele, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Their services include veterinary clinic and surgery, pet mart, dog boarding and breeding,pet grooming, diagnostic laboratory, livestock consultancy, and others.
