It was a colourful and well-attended gathering at Ojoo Roundabout on Wednesday, October 7, as the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) officially flagged off the campaign of its Oyo State House of Assembly candidate for Akinyele Constituency II, Hon. Olalere Solomon, also known as ‘Ere’.
The event attracted APM leaders, candidates, party faithful, community members, residents and other stakeholders, with speeches, mobilisation, music and entertainment adding colour to the occasion.
APM Oyo State Chairman, Hon. Fagbemi Adegbenro, commended the people of Akinyele for the massive turnout and expressed confidence in Ere’s ability to effectively represent the constituency.

In his remarks, Ere, while appreciating the party leadership and supporters, said his ambition was driven by a commitment to quality representation, community service and improving the lives of constituents. He pledged to make the needs and interests of Akinyele Constituency II a priority if elected.
A major highlight was the presentation of the APM party flag to Ere by the state chairman, formally reaffirming the party’s support for his candidacy.
The event also featured addresses by other APM candidates and leaders, while Fuji musician Taye Currency and the Oldschool Brothers entertained the enthusiastic crowd.
The peaceful and colourful flag-off marks the beginning of Ere’s campaign as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
