Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has directed the withdrawal of appointment of secretaries, supervisory councilors and Special assistants to the 33 local government chairmen.
Sources revealed that the directive was as a result of irregularities that marred the list.
Insideoyo.com gathered that the Governor was angry over manner in which the list was manipulated and directed the Commissioner for Local Government and chieftaincy matters, Chief Bayo Lawal to withdraw the list.
However, some local government chairmen have sworn in the secretaries, supervisory councilors, and special advisers before the directive.
It’s not clear if the directive will nullify the swearing in.
