Insideoyo.com has obtained the full list of chairmanship and vice-chairmanship candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the May 12, 2018 local government election in Oyo State.
Governor Abiola Ajimobi, had after a meeting he convened which had the chairman and secretary of the party, Chief Akin Oke and Hon. Mojeed Olaoya in attendance, ‘forced’ those in the meeting to endorse ‘selection’ rather than primaries which the party constitution supports.
A day to the meeting which held at Lafia Hotel, Ibadan, the governor had sent messages inviting all executive members of the party from all the local government and local council development development areas to the meeting. Five executive members each were invited from each ward.
It was learnt that some LGAs and LCDAS, especially those from Okeogun who knew what would happen, boycotted the meeting. As at the time of filing this report, they are said to be ‘prepared’ for ‘war’.
More than 50 per cent of the ‘imposed’ candidates didn’t obtain the APC nomination form, insideoyo.com learnt.
