Members of the House Of Representatives representing Oyo state have been inaugurated at the beginning of the 9th session of the Assembly.
They include son of the Alaafin, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, APC’s Prince Akeem Adeyemi, APC’s Akin Alabi, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s Dhikrullah Olajide, PDP’s Yemi Taiwo, APC’s Musliudeen Akinremi; Captain Ajao Adejumo of Action Democratic Party, PDP’s Abbas Agboworin; Shina Peller of APC and Tolu Shadipe of APC.
The inauguration came as Lagos APC’s returning reps’ member, Femi Gbajabiamila emerged Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives with a landslide victory.
He polled 281 to defeat his only rival, Umaru Bago, who got 76 votes from a total of 358 votes.

The exercise that took less than two hours with two voting points saw some members voting on the floor while many made sure the trio of Gbajabiamila, Idris Wase, and Abdulmumin Jibrin made a show of displaying their ballot papers after voting before casting it.
