Lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District at the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari has felicitated with Muslims on this year end of Ramadan and Eid el Fitri celebration.
In a congratulatory message issued by his media team, Senator Buhari prays for lasting peace, progress and development in Oyo state and Nigeria.
The Chairman Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime also urged Muslim faithfuls not to limit their prayer and fasting to Ramadan period alone but make it a periodic exercise as commanded by Almighty Allah and the prophet (PBUH).
“Let the teachings, prayers and lessons of Ramadan reflects in your day to day activities, be at peace with your neighbour and ensure you sacrifice and devote your time and wealth to serve God and make people around you happy .”
“Don’t allow quest for materialism and power overwhelm your commitment to Almighty Allah but win people to God through your character, contentment and subjection to the will of Almighty Allah.
The re-elected Senator however, urged members of the public to give maximum support to the leaders at the helm of affairs at all level and pray for divine guidance in their assignment.
He also used the occasion to thank his constituents in Oyo North for their support before, during & after the last election and pledge not to betray the confidence reposed in him.
