Olagunju explained that it was essential for all elected officers to ensure their actions in office are in conformity with the electorate expectations, so as not to regret the mandates given to them.

He appealed to the candidates who could not make it during the polls to see it as the will of God, saying that numerous opportunities await them in the future.

He appreciated the security agencies for ensuring security of lives and properties before, during and after the election.

He also commended the Media, IPAC , political parties and other relevant stakeholders for the tremendous support accorded the commission all through.

“ We thank God that no loss of life during the just concluded local government council elections. I also appreciate the Media , Security, IPAC , Political Parties and others for a job well done”

“I want to appeal to the candidates that don’t make it, in future election, you will make it because everything is time”.

“Sirs and Mas, you are representing the people of Oyo state, people should not experience any regret, their decisions should be well justified”.

“We equally thank the Governor for the opportunity given to us to serve the people of the state and support towards conducting the elections.

Speaking with journalists on the just concluded election, the Chairman, Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Oyo State, Otunba Adegbenro Fagbemi, said the election was well conducted, pointing out that the council monitored the seamless distribution of sensitive and non-sensitive materials to all OYSIEC local government offices.

Otunba Adegbenro, who attributed hitches at polling units to restriction of vehicular movements and fuel scarcity, called on politicians and the electorate to support the winners of the election for good governance.
