The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC ) on behalf of the entire workforce and pensioners have commiserated with Governor Seyi Makinde, the people of the state on the the demise of the former Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
The group also condole with the wife and the entire family over the death of the “illustrious son of Ibadan land”.
In a statement jointly signed by Comrade Emmanuel Ogundiran, TUC Chairman and Comrade Bayo Titilola-Sodo, NLC Chairperson, they advised the family of the deceased to take solace in the fact that the former governor lived a fruitful, full and fulfilled life as his impacts cannot be forgotten in a hurry.
“Senator Ajimobi came, saw and contributed immensely to the development of our dear state for unbroken eight years he held sway.
“He would remain indelible in the minds of the residents for his imprints and impacts which include the dualization of township roads across major towns.
“His boldness and bluntness on matters of personal and general interest to the state, his impeccable dressing and urbane tendencies would be evergreen in the minds.
“No doubt, the former governor would be sorely missed by the people of the state, his biological and political families, friends and acquaintances.”
