Hon. Olusegun Olaleye, who represents Ibadan North State Constituency 2 in the Oyo State House of Assembly, will on Thursday, 10th August, empower hundreds of his constituents.
Billed to take place at the Cultural Centre car park, Ibadan, the former NANS president who is serving his second term in the House, will assist his constituents with empowerment materials worth millions of naira.
According to Olaleye, while speaking with insideoyo.com, “we would commission boreholes after which we will give scholarship to primary and secondary students while some selected students of The Polytechnic, Ibadan and University of Ibadan will be assisted with education support grants.
We will also give out books to students. Also, we will donate sporting equipment to some football clubs, cash support to traders while vocational equipment like deep freezers, sewing machines, vulcanizing machines and other things to our constituents.”
He said that the gesture was apart from the constant empowerment he has done for his people, adding that the empowerment ceremony was organised in order to interact with his people, to brief them about what he has done and how well to go further.
