The ancient town of Saki today witnessed another historic event as the lawmaker representing Saki West State Constituency and the Deputy Speaker, Oyo State House Of Assembly, Rt Hon Musa AbdWasi empowered over 350 constituents with items including two million naira for business start-up.
The events which was held at OYSADEP Sports Complex, Saki had in attendance the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Hon. Moses Alake, a governorship aspirant and former commissioner- Alhaji Yunus Akintunde, Hon. Adeleke Afeez Adesina, Hon. Luqman Olawale Balogun and other lawmakers in the state.
The items distributed are 12 Motorcycles, 70 Generator sets, 12 Deep Freezers, 40 Chemical Sprayers, 100 Chemicals, 15 Hairdryers, 3 Professional Nixon Cameras, 4 Computer sets, 1 tyre pumping machine, 20 sewing machines, 40 barbing clippers, 30 grinding machines and 2 million naira distributed for start up business.
Speaking at the event, the Musah thanked party loyalists, friends and family for their support through the thick and thin period.
He said “It is instructive for me to start this occasion by thanking Almighty Allah who is in His infinite mercies made today a reality for me as a person, for our party, the APC and for our admirers who supported us through the thick and thin of the rigorous electioneering period.”
He also hinted on the activities of the 8th assembly “The 8th Assembly started on a very positive note by hitting the ground running by providing enabling laws that will ensure that Ministries, Agencies and Departments were reduced as requested by the executive.”
He concluded by pleading to constituents who are yet to be touched by his empowerment train saying “Certainly, these will not go round all of us but let me say that this is not the end, those who do not get today, may get tomorrow. It is only God that is self sufficient and only Him can cater for us all.”
Also speaking at the event the Deputy Governor of Oyo State who was the Chairman on the Occasion thanked the people of Saki and party loyalists for supporting the administration of Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
