The Police in Oyo State have arrested a popular Ibadan-based radio presenter, Oriyomi Hamsat, for an alleged murder of a 17-year-old boy.
According to reports, he was caught with a dead body inside his vehicle at around 2 am on Saturday July 22, at Agugu area of Ibadan.
Sources, who preferred anonymity said the police decided to trail Hamzat after he suspiciously evaded a police checkpoint. He was reportedly caught with a wrapped dead body, identified to be that of a 17-year-old boy named John, who was being raised in the suspect’s “unregistered” orphanage.
Confirming the story, the spokesperson of Oyo State Police, SP Adekunle Ajisebutu, told Newspeakonline that it was a suspected murder case that was already being investigated.
He said prosecution would commence immediately investigations were concluded.
