The Omo Aj’orosun Club has joined the people of Ibadan in celebrating the commissioning of the new Olubadan palace, describing the occasion as a historic milestone in the annals of Ibadanland.
In a statement signed by the club’s president, Chief Sunday Gbenjo Oyekanmi and made available by the PRO, ESV Toyeshe Lawal, the club commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his role in making the project commissioning a reality.
The club also hailed sons and daughters of Ibadan both at home and diaspora over the successful completion of the palace.
“We are thrilled to see the new Olubadan palace commissioned, and we commend Governor Makinde for his efforts and roles. We also want to congratulate and commend sons and daughters of Ibadan land over the successful completion of the palace.
“The new palace is a testament to the people of Ibadan’s commitment to preserving our cultural heritage and promoting the rich history of Ibadanland. We are proud to associate ourselves with this noble endeavor.” the statement read.
The club also congratulated the Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin ahead of his Coronation.
