Alhaji Yekeen Abass, the First Babaloja General of Oyo State, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across the state and beyond on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Mawlid, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a statement released to the press on Sunday, Alhaji Abass expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim Ummah, praying for peace, prosperity, and divine guidance.
“As we celebrate the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW), let us reflect on his teachings of love, compassion, and forgiveness. May his example continue to guide us towards a path of righteousness and harmony,” he said.
Furthermore, the Babaloja General felicitated with the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Seyi Makinde, and his Deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal, on the auspicious occasion.
He also extended his greetings to the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, Alhaji Daud Makanjuola, the Chief Imam of Ibadanland and other notable personalities.
“I pray that Allah grants our leaders wisdom, strength, and courage to continue serving our state and nation with integrity and dedication,” Alhaji Abass added.
He urged Muslims to embrace the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), emphasizing the importance of love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
Alhaji Abass prayed for continued peace and prosperity in Oyo State and Nigeria at large, seeking Allah’s guidance and protection for the nation’s leaders and citizens.
