The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji, yesterday surprised many as he attended the International Conference Centre of the University of Ibadan, venue of the public presentation of memorandum on true federalism organized by the national leadership of the All Progressive Congress, APC, with abeti-aja cap.
Sitting next to the Alaafin, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, who also wore his trademark abeti-aja cap, he was the cynosure of all eyes especially as he was engaged in discussion with the Oyo monarch while the programme lasted.
Unconfirmed report has it that Oba Adetunji will rest his beaded crown for the main time and continue to use abeti-aja in public.
It was also gathered that the two monarchs have agreed to attend state function in abeti-aja cap.
Insideoyo.com could not however confirm if the decision of the monarchs was connected to the recent elevation and installation of high and senior Ibadan chiefs to Obaship status by Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
