The elected Iyaloja-General of Oyo State, Alhaja Saratu Konibaje, has urged traders and market women in the state to remain calm over the crisis rocking the forum.
Konibaje stated this when she visited some notable markets in the state capital.
She said traders and market leaders should not allow themselves to be used as instruments in the hands of government, but should be partners in moving the state forward.
The Iyaloja-General designate enjoined traders to go about their normal business activities, assuring that the process of confirming the Iyaloja-General of Oyo State will take its normal course.
Alhaja Konibaje, who was the former Otun Iyaloja-General before her election following the demise of Alhaja Wuraola Daisi, said the process of selecting the Iyaloja-General cannot be compromised through the back door.
She maintained that her mandate as the elected Iyaloja-General still stands.
