A former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, yesterday, dumped African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
In a report by DailyTrust, a close associate of the former governor, Bimbo Adepoju, told that Ladoja had instructed him to address reporters on his movement to ZLP.
The former governor had last week said the leadership of the party was not serious about winning elections in the state.
He said the ADC leadership was not magnanimous about sharing of positions, pointing out that the people of Oke Ogun and Ibarapa zone would feel cheated with the current arrangement in the party.
The instruction came after the ZLP settled for former Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Sharafadeen Alli as its governorship candidate.
A source in Abuja told insideOyo.com that Sharafahdeen Alli’s form was submitted at the INEC national office and substituted for a former Commissioner of Finance in the Ladoja administration, Waheed Akanbi, had since October emerged the candidate of the ZLP.
Recall that the former Chairman of Oodua investment was one of the 12 aggrieved aspirants of the African Democratic Congress.
