Ọba Gbenga Adigun Adéòye Oyetunji Oyinlola II, Ààrẹ Alawo Ekun Ofiki, has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde over his inauguration as the Governor of Oyo state for another term.
The traditional ruler also sought the state government’s partnership on the exploration of solid minerals resources in his communities.
He said these in a statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen on Monday, in Ofiki, Atisbo local government area of the state.
He stressed that the showers of blessing on the inauguration day and Governor Seyi Makinde’s speech are assurances of greater things to happen in the Omituntun 2.0.
He said that Ofiki is in need of a tertiary institution adding that they have all facilities required to have a tertiary institution in the town.
His words: “I felt so much elated for the rain which signifies showers of blessings and to the inauguration speech of solemn assurance of greater things to happen in Omititun 2.0.
“Let me seize this opportunity to remind His Excellency about our discussion on solid minerals exploration partnership with my community.
“Ofiki needs massive infrastructure developments and Tertiary institutions related to Agriculture. We have the land, and we are ready to host a University.
“May Almighty God continue to bestow His Excellency with wisdom and discerning spirit in the journey of Omititun 2.0.”
Oba Adéòye also commended a former Secretary to the State Governor, Chief Micheal Koleoso for standing firm with the Governor during the electioneering period and transition.
He wished the Babalaje of Saki land long life and prosperity in good health and peace of mind.
His words: “In the same vein, I cannot but appreciate the efforts of our own Elder States man Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleoso the Babalaje of Saki Land who stood firm behind the governor towards a successful election and transition that birth continuity in the pace setter state.
“I wish Baba long live in good health and peace of mind in all ramifications.”
