Family heads in Ibadan land, otherwise known as Authentic Mogajis, yesterday alleged that the Ibandanland’s chieftaincy review by Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi was responsible for his downfall in the 2019 general elections.
The Mogajis, in a statement, advised the governor-elect, Seyi Makinde, “to borrow a leaf from the down fall of the outgoing government on the issue of the chieftaincy review which did not go well with the good people of Ibadan land.”
They described Makinde’s victory as divine, expressing optimism that his administration would protect the traditional stool in the state.
They commended traditional rulers and the residents of the state for the success of the governorship and house of assembly elections in the state.
They said the election was a well deserved victory for Makinde as the people of Oyo had made a choice to vote for good governance.
