A human rights group, Save the Poor and Needy Charity Initiative (SPANCI) has petitioned the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State over alleged threat to the life of some individuals.

SPANCI made this declaration via a statement signed by its President, Comrade Yemi Ezekiel Bello and made available to journalists on Tuesday.

Bello in the statement, advised the CP to investigate alleged act of attempted murder, unlawful possession of fire arms, act of threat to life, unlawful assembly, breach of peace and criminal conspiracy perpetrated by Chief James Alagbe Akande Bale Oloka, Mr Tunde Alagbe, Mr Joshua Alagbe, Zacceus Oyelaran, Moyegun Oyelaran, Bukola Alagbe, Oji Jimoh, Ojedapo ayegboyin, John Olatoyan, Lukuman Omo Babalawo and Dada Ifa against Mr Isaiah Adeniran Oyebamiji Adeyemi Oyebamiji of Ile Atoba Oloka and Williams Ope.

Bello noted that he has the consent of Mr Isaiah Adeniran Oyebamiji, Adeyemi Oyebamiji and Williams Ope who shall be constantly refered to as complainants to write this letter so that their rights may be protected by law.

He then sought the arrest of the released suspects and other suspects including Bale Oloka and Mr Tunde his surety.

He used the opportunity to appeal to the CP to ensure thorough investigation into the matter.

He also urged the CP to ensure the prosecution of the alleged persons in court of law for the above criminal allegations.

“Urgent petition against an act of attempted murder, unlawful possession of fire arms, act of Threat to life, unlawful assembly, breach of peace and criminal conspiracy perpetrated by Chief James Alagbe Akande Bale Oloka, Mr Tunde Alagbe, Mr Joshua Alagbe, Zacceus Oyelaran, Moyegun Oyelaran, Bukola Alagbe, Oji Jimoh, Ojedapo ayegboyin, John Olatoyan, Lukuman Omo Babalawo and Dada Ifa against Mr Isaiah Adeniran Oyebamiji Adeyemi Oyebamiji of Ile Atoba Oloka and Williams Ope.

“I am Bello Yemi Ezekiel a duly appointed justice of the peace of Oyo state. I have the consent of Mr Isaiah Adeniran Oyebamiji, Adeyemi Oyebamiji and Williams Ope who shall be constantly refered to as complainants to write this letter so that their rights may be protected by law.

“The complainants who are residents of ile Atoba Oloka and Oloka village told me and I verily believe their information to be true and correct that on friday April 19 night the alleged led by Joshua Alagbe came to him and threatened to kill him and that after Joshua Alagbe the leader had threatened to kill him, Mr Ifa told him that if he (the complainant) see boys who wears black and black can he put chest? That they also gave him a timeline to die as next week deadline.

“Later in the day the complainants said Joshua was found holding gun with his team at the point of entry to oloka from ogbomoso hiding, seeing them, but realizing their target was not among the passers at the back of Dabira church but later in the night at a naming ceremony resurfaced and hide somewhere and Joshua who is Bale’s son shot at Mr Adeyemi Oyebamiji and Williams Ope but where faced by the complainants to ask why he shot them, but Bukola Bale’s brother son and Joshua started pleading for mercy, at this point there was pandemonium in the party as the peace was breached by their act. At this point Oji Jimoh rescued them and ran away to aladere about third village to oloka. The complainants called me and oloka people as well to inform me of the attempted murder and I told them to chase them and know where the suspects escaped to. I also instructed them to peacefully strategize and monitor all entry to oloka village and that some of them should report at Ikoyi Ile police division and take the victims to hospital which they did at Zion hospital with the police.

“They further said those monitoring the suspects just saw Oji Jimoh who came to rescue others hiding suspects on the bike and they held him and with the support of police and questioned him where he took Joshua and Zacceus but confessed and took them to aladere village in the house of one Babalawo who was helping them to treat the gun shot injury sustained by Zacceus but where all arrested on spot by the men of Ikoyi Ile police division. I spoke with officer Oni on phone to confirm the incident and he confirmed to me. Afterward, I called the Owode area command’s ACO to inform him and also Supo Idris Iyaganku ibadan who has been handling the many petitions against bale oloka, his surety Mr Tunde Alagbe and their wives and children harassing and terrorizing oloka’s residents.

“I was also told and confirmed from officer Oni that one of their units has recovered the unlawful fire arm used by Joshua and his team from chief James Alagbe Akande bale oloka after Joshua confessed to the law enforcement agents. It is so sad that the Babalawo was not also arrested but his boy who is one of the gangs by name Lukuman. Another shocking thing is that tree of the suspects Oji Jimoh who carried the suspects to Aladere village, Lukuman himself and Zacceus’ brother were released later which can affect the case and the evidences. I was told that one Mr Oladipo Bamikole who is chief of staff of their local government Ori ire came begging for bail of the suspects but the DPO vex his anger on him. I was also told that on Monday April 21 2015 the bale’s family in company of a lawyer and other people came to beg Mr Isaiah Adeniran Oyebamiji that was earlier threatened with death after which his brother Adeyemi Oyebamiji was shot to withdraw the case who told them that it is beyond his power.

“I hereby request the arrest of the released suspects and other suspects including bale oloka and Mr Tunde his surety and thorough investigation into the matter and that the alleged be prosecuted in court of law for the above criminal allegations.”
