The president and founder, Gbenga Obilade’s Foundation, (Dr) Gbenga Clement Obilade has felicitated with Christians all over the world most especially residents of Egbeda and Ona-Ara Local Government Areas in Oyo State on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.
The season marks a significant aspect of death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Dr Obilade in his Easter message, called on Christians to spread love, embrace forgiveness and compassion in their dealings with others.
Dr Obilade said Easter is not just a season – it is a divine reminder of the power of sacrifice, the victory of hope over despair and the immeasurable love for God towards humanity.
“The season follows the just concluded Lenten period, where many of us reflected on our lives, made sacrifices, prayed and sought spiritual renewal”.
Dr Obilade urged Christians to let the lessons of Lent bear fruit in their daily lives by spreading love, forgiveness and compassion as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
“As a community, let us rise with Christ into newness of life, turning away from hatred, envy and division. Let the symbol of the empty tomb be a reminder that no situation is beyond resurrection. Let’s transform our environment with love and unity”.
