Teslim Folarin, Senator representing Oyo central senatorial district, has called Governor Seyi Makinde to wish him well over COVID-19 contraction.
The governor announced that he has contracted the virus on Monday evening. The test result, which was delivered to the governor at about 5.30 pm indicated that he had tested positive to coronavirus, Taiwo Adisa, Cheif Press Secretary to the governor said in a statement made available to InsideOyo.com.
The senator said he received with shock the news that Gov Seyi Makinde tested positive for Covid-19 and prayed for his quick recovery.
“I received with shock the news that Gov Seyi Makinde tested positive for Covid-19.
“Our prayers to Allah is to grant him a speedy recovery and protect his family in this trying time.
“I have also spoken to him and he is in good spirit. Covid-19 is real. Let us all be safe.” Senator Folarin said in a post on his social media account.
