Commendations for Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina as he commissioned 5 borehole projects to commemorate this year’s World Water Day, which is marked every first day of April.
The lawmaker, who is the son of late former Oyo State Governor, Alhaji Lamidi Adesina, represents Ibadan North East / Ibadan South East in the House of Representatives.
Popularly called ‘Omo Oloore’, he has done many water projects before the recent ones. Together with the one, he has sunk twenty boreholes, in less than two years in office.
Executed under his Omo Oloore Water Scheme, the borehole projects are located in areas like Kumapayi-Iwo Road, Oke Offa/Babasale, Olorunsogo-Felele, Islamic School in Isale Bode and Oke Oloro, all within his constituency.
Hundreds of residents and partymen trooped out en masse to witness the event and catch a glimpse of the young lawmaker.
Speaking at different places, the former commissioner assured his constituents of his bid to deliver on all the promises he made to the people of his constituency. He also commended them for always standing by him.
Commending the young Lam-Adesina, the spokesperson of Oke Offa/ Babasale Community, Comrade Jide Bamgbose explained that the area was without potable water for over fifteen (15) years. Corroborating, the chairman of Oke Oloro Community revealed that the lawmaker is the first politician to bring a project to the community since the advent of democracy in 1999.
The Chief Imam of Islamic Mosque, Isale Bode, while appreciating him for deeming it fit to recognise his community, heaped praises on him, praying for his success in life.
Eulogising the outspoken legislator who he described as a new breed of politicians who are guided by their words, the chairman of Kumapayi Community in Iwo road, Alhaji Ige said that he did not expect anything less from him “as his late father was also known to be a man of the people and one who keeps to his words during his lifetime.”
Only last week, he assisted traders with financial support worth millions of naira under his Omo Oloore Traders Support Scheme.
