The Supreme Court on Wednesday declared Ahmed Makarfi, the caretaker committee chairman, as the authentic leader of the PDP, Nigeria’s largest opposition party.

The court also sacked Ali Sheriff as the National Chairman of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.

“Praise the Lord! God has given us victory at Supreme Court. PDP is back in the right hands. Shame on Ali Modu Sheriff! Congrats to PDP!”, PDP chieftain, Fani-kayode said immediately after the court judgement.
