It was a disappointing performance for the Oluyole warriors as they failed to secure maximum 3 points against a traditional rivals Insurance of Benin.
It was the first home game for the Oluyole warriors and also their 1st match in NNL for this season.
3SC which fielded a strong starting 11 saw the likes of Yekeem Kazeem, Gbadamosi Fatai, Omololu Waheed , Mohammed Akilu , Sanni Nurudeen making the starting lineup.
They struggled, as they failed to get goal for the team. The Inability of the players make their chances counts was a sources of worry as they missed quite a lot of chances.
Shooting stars dominate proceeding particularly in the 2nd half of the game and got their first chance in 58thminutes when Benson was brought in for Fatai Gbadamosi who made little or no impact. It was a free flow game with referee and officials doing a wonderful job to ensure fair play. the attacking strength of the Oluyole warriors got in tensed with another introduction of Daddy Yusuf who came in for Issa mohammed but also failed to make impact, the 3rd Substitution came at the 82 minute Isiaq brought in for Bakare and at the 84th minutes. Anthony Ousou missed another one on one with the goalie which could gave Shooting stars 3 points against Insurance of Benin who have in attendance the Edo State Deputy governor Philip Shuaibu.
With more additional minutes Oluyole warriors failed to find the back of the net speaking after the match the Head Coach of 3Sc Coach Edith Agoye told journalist that ‘’ It was disappointing we couldn’t win because we failed to convert our chances. We understand the anger of our fans and that would propel us to work harder against our next opponent while for the Head Coach of Insurance of Benin Coach Baldwin Obazuaye ‘’ it was a good result for us we gave it all against 3sc and we are happy we got it something for our efforts. With this result 3SC are now in 5thposition in Group B1 Warri wolves in 1st position with 6 points from 3 games, Bendel Insrance are 2nd with 4 points from 2 matches, Gateway United are in 3rd with 3 points from 2 games, Abia Comets and Bayelsa United are on the same position with same 3 point each.
