Eleven Eleven Twelve Foundation, an independent private Nigerian philanthropic organisation, will hold a one-day to lead a new conversation on major environmental issues in Africa.
The symposium, according to the organiser, will focus on the United Nation’s theme for the World Environment Day 2019, “Beat Air Pollution” and hold at Ibadan Business School, Ibadan.
Air pollution is the introduction into the air of some substance(s) which has harmful or poisonous effects on living organisms on earth. Humans suffer from various respiratory and cardiac conditions due to air pollution. Air pollution also causes various diseases, including cancer, affecting other organs of the body and it is largely responsible for the alteration in climate (climate change).
The symposium is set to analyse Air Pollution in its entirety by engaging stakeholders within the environmental and waste management sector, the medical sciences, the educational sector, industrial and manufacturing sector, individuals and advocacy groups and the government. We shall be charting ways forward to curb this menace within our environment.
With this event, Eleven Eleven Twelve Foundation hopes to ignite people, groups, companies, schools and the government to make concerted efforts to BeatAir Pollution.
