Vote ADC, Don’t Be Intimidated – Lanlehin Tells Voters

Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, Oyo State governorship candidate under the banner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has charged voters to troop out enmasse to vote the ADC in the forthcoming general elections.

Speaking against the backdrop of recent increase in violence by the ruling APC, Lanlehin told voters, “don’t be intimidated, their aim is to scare you off, so you’ll be discouraged from voting. Don’t mind them, troop out, and vote enmasse, your votes will count!”

Recall that there had been incidences of shootings, with some reported deaths at the campaign tour of the APC, the most recent being those of Igboora and Omi Adio.

“We’re a party of perfect gentlemen, whose only priority is to better the lot of our people. To that end, only our party, the ADC is masses oriented,” Lanlehin said.

Speaking to a mammoth crowd of excited supporters at Alesinloye market, Lanlehin recalled how he initiated construction of borehole for the market until same was stopped by the ruling party. “I recall bringing the rig to construct a borehole here, but the selfish ones stopped it.

“That was the same thing they did at the Molete Poultry Market. They prevented us from providing amenities for our people.”

Berating the ruling party for its concerted efforts at perpetuating poverty despite being in power for nearly eight years, Lanlehin chided the APC for what he termed “gratuitous insult” on the good people of Oyo State.

He told the waiting crowd, “we don’t want garri and kulikuli, rather we want the basic amenities of life.”

Promising traders of good times on assumption of power come 29 May, 2019, Lanlehin said, “we won’t force you to pay arbitrary charges, instead, we will create environments that make businesses thrive.”

Lanlehin, who burst into dancing while melodious tunes were being played, also critiqued the Tradermoni Scheme, asking “where were they all these years?”

“The ADC is the real deal, I therefore implore you to be patient enough on polling day, as you’ll do a four year work in just two days. Vote Wasiu Olatubosun for House of Representatives, Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency, return Senator Soji Akanbi as Oyo South Senator. Vote Tolani Adigun Tajudeen and Habeeb Idowu Balogun as Members, Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan Southwest Constituencies I and II respectively. Vote ADC in all elections; even for presidency.”

“We shall renovate your mosque. Ifeleye, Oranyan and Agbeni Markets all have solar street lights. In fact, Ogunpa Market has over 30 solar lights. We’ll first give Alesinloye a functional transformer, before we begin rolling in other market friendly programmes.

Lanlehin’s campaign tour later dovetailed into a roadshow, coursing through Dugbe to Alesinloye, Mile 110, Apata, Odo Ona, Oluyole Estate, Challenge and environs.
