As preparations for the funeral ceremony of late military administrator of Western Region, Adebayo Adeyinka, have reached top gear, the authorities of the University of Ibadan have concluded plans to hold a lying-in-state for their former pro-chancellor.
Starting on Wednesday, 17th April, 2017, in Lagos, the remains will be moved to Ibadan the next day for tributes and special session by UI.
On Friday, 19th April, 2017, a special service will take place in Ekiti and at Christ School, Ado before the remains will be moved to Iyin-Ekiti for the remaining programmes.
Late Adebayo, died in a hospital in Ikeja, Lagos State, a day to his 89th birthday.
As governor of the Western region he promoted agricultural extension services in particular the establishment of the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training, Moor Plantation, Ibadan.
