Despite his failure to emerge the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the governorship seat in Oyo State during the party’s primary election, Chief Olasunkanmi Tegbe has said that he remains committed to the development of the state even as he did not emerge the governorship candidate.
He made this known in a statement he issued yesterday, adding that the failure to emerge the party’s governorship flag-bearer would not hinder him from contributing meaningfully to the development of the state and the party.
According to him: “Politics should not be viewed as a ‘Do-or-Die’ affair. In every situation or environment you found yourself, always strive to contribute your quota in raising the standard of such an environment.”
“I ventured into politics not for personal gains, but for the benefit of mankind and socio-economic development of my state.”
On his next move, Tegbe said that God would determine his next political journey, adding that no one could foretell what the future holds.
“Life is full of challenges. Yet, those challenges are not to exasperate the believer. His or her confidence is that tomorrow is in God’s hand. No matter what happens, therefore, he is safe.”
The tax expert added that he would continue to work with the leadership of the party to engender progressive development in the state.
Tegbe said: “I want to assure you that I remain committed to the Oyo project. We are in politics for good and we will continue to contribute our quota.”
“I am passionate about the development of this state. I have a stake because this is my state. I am from Ibadan and I want to use my experience and expertise to make it better,” he added.
