TAMS – Technology-Assisted Academic Management System, a multi-tenant cloud-based school management system is set for launch.

The product created by Ogun State-based software company, Crownbirth Limited, is a personalised platform for schools and education stakeholders: government, administrators, teachers, parents and students that offers a whole new user-friendly experience.

The product will be launched on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 (strictly by invitation) at the Room, Conference Hotel, Presidential Boulevard, 1 Golf Resort Drive, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, by 9:00am (WAT) under the theme: TAMS – Edtech Reimagined.

The hybrid event (online and offline) will feature the Former Governor, Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, as the special guest of honour.

Others dignitaries to grace the occasion are: The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Ogun State, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu; Deputy Director, Research and External Relations, Tai-Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State, Dr. Adefunke Ekine; Head, Partnership, Digital Solutions and Fintech in WEMA Bank, Ajibade Laolu-Adewale and the Founder/CEO, Co-Creation Hub (CcHub), Bosun Tijani.

The MD/CEO, Ademola Adenubi, described TAMS as uniquely developed on a well-researched structured framework for basic and tertiary education systems.

He said that the team was motivated to venture into the edtech solution to solve the need of over 85,000 basic schools in Nigeria with increasing realisation for a pressing demand to adopt technology to drive education and school system, especially in the post-COVID Nigeria.

Adenubi said that with an average of 500 schools being served by each of the 10 leading school management solution providers in Nigeria, the market space is under-served by an approximate 95%.

In his words: “The wide geographical spread of Nigeria has also constrained most of the leading education solution providers to concentrate their market space in a state where they have competitive and comparative advantages, though with few presence in other states.

“Ogun State, being a leading state in education, with over 5,000 basic schools and over 10 tertiary education institutions is significantly un-served by any known major school management solution provider.

“There is, therefore, the need for a school management solution with better user-experience that drift stakeholders perception to technology adoption and encourage mutually-beneficial partnership that can extend the penetration to other markets to gain greater competitive and comparative advantage. The integrated self-boarding and agency approach to the TAMS platform is a unique business model that has potential to give TAMS greater market penetration and good returns for investment.

Some features of TAMS include admissions management, registration management, attendance management, digital classes and live chat sessions, e-resources, e-assessment, hostel management and bursary management.
