Educationist and businessman, Engr. Dotun Sanusi is set to commission a multi-million naira hostel at his International College of Arts, Science and Technology (ICAST), Elebu, Ibadan.
The school was established in September, 2011 by the Ibadan-born engineer.
Fixed for Saturday, July 15, 2017, Governor Abiola Ajimobi and other top government functionaries are expected. A former Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor, Prof. Adeolu Akande will deliver a lecture at the event.
According to Sanusi, who also owns Ilaji Farms in Akanran area of Ona-Ara local government of the state, he built the hostel to provide comfort for students and staff of the institution in order to ensure they are focused on their studies.
The hostel, he explained, can compete favourably with any hostel in any citadel of learning in the world.
“ICAST ultra-modern hostel can accommodate thousands of students conveniently at the same time without any adverse effect on the facilities in the hostel. Besides the spacious and less crowded room, the hostel has solar powered electricity and 500 KVA generating set which would ensure a 24-hour electricity supply to the hostel.
“The hostel is equipped with medical equipments and personnel which are similar to those you will see in any standard hospital and there is also standard sporting facilities which the students will be making use of for their extra-curricular activities”, he concluded.
