The Oyo State government has reiterated its commitment to enhancing agricultural productivity and fostering economic growth through its ongoing Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho road rehabilitation project.
The project, which aims to connect major communities in Oke Ogun, is expected to significantly improve the transportation of farm produce to urban areas.
On May 1st, a team led by Engineer Muftau Open Salawu, Chairman of the Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency (OYSPPMA), inspected the road project.
During the visit, the team was warmly welcomed by HRM Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Oyedepo III, the Okere of Sakiland, who expressed gratitude to Governor Engr Seyi Makinde and the Oyo State government for their dedication to infrastructure development.
“We are grateful to Governor Engr Seyi Makinde and the Oyo State government for their support in developing our infrastructure, particularly in the agricultural sector,” the monarch said.
Engr Salawu praised Governor Makinde’s commitment to developing all zones of the state, emphasizing the administration’s focus on agriculture as a key driver of economic revival.
“Good roads are essential for driving economic growth, improving safety, enhancing connectivity, and boosting productivity,” he said.
The OYSPPMA chairman assured that the agency is committed to ensuring that the people of Oyo State receive value for their money through effective infrastructure development. The agency’s efforts are geared towards maximizing the potential of the state’s agricultural sector and boosting economic growth.
The Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho road rehabilitation project is a testament to the Oyo State government’s commitment to improving the lives of its citizens and fostering economic development.
