Stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) in Saki East local government area of Oyo state have endorsed Governor Seyi Makinde for second term.
The stakeholders and party members who met on Thursday in Ago Amodu said the Governor has done pretty well in all aspects hence deserves to be re-elected for another term.
While speaking, the Chairperson of the local government area, Mrs Rahmat Adeniran said the Governor has done so many projects in the Oke Ogun area of the state.
Adeniran added that the Operation Light Up Oyo Project has gotten to Ago Amodu and Ogbooro in the local government area expressing hope that other towns will be touched.
She also spoke about some of her efforts in Saki East to complement the efforts of the Governor at his local government area.
Her words: “As we can all see the good works of our boss, Engineer Seyi Makinde across the state. If we can’t see other councils, we can see that the light up project has reached Ago Amodu and Ogbooro which we haven’t experienced before. We hope other town will be touched too.
“We thank him for his good works in Oke Ogun and other parts of the state. We can also see different developmental projects across the state. You all know how many hours we spent when going to Ibadan but now within few hours, we will be in Ibadan.
“Also in Saki, past government told our house wives to fetch water to wet a road they refused to construct but Governor Seyi Makinde has completed the road. Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho road which was in a very bad condition has been awarded and is under construction. Very soon, it will be completed.
“We at the local government areas too are trying our best to complement the efforts of the Governor. On security, we have cleared the major roads to allow motorists navigate easily and to chase criminals away.
“We supported and still supporting our local vigilantes in battling crimes and they can bear us witness. Unlike before when coming to Ago Amodu was problematic but now it’s safe and free.
“We have also embarked on the construction of abattoir in Sepeteri which will be completed very soon. With all these and more, he deserves another term.”
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Establishment and Training, Alhaji Siju Lawal said the Governor has embarked on construction of primary health centres across the 351 wards including the 11 wards in Saki East.
He added that the workers salary and retirees are being paid 25th of every month.
He concluded by saying the Governor needs to be commended and deserves another term.
“The Iseyin – Oyo road is under construction, it’s a Federal road but the Governor didn’t say it’s a Federal road. He’s fixing it because it’s beneficial to our economy and everyone.
“He has also started the construction of Iseyin – Ogbomoso road. Also, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH now has a campus in Iseyin which is very close to us.
“Like our chairman said, Saki now looks like a small London with the completion of the dual lane abandoned by the previous administration.
“Also, 351 wards in the state will have a primary health care center. They have started in my ward and they will construct it in all the 11 wards in Saki East local government. The one that’s not properly fixed, we have talked with the Governor and he has promised it will be done properly.
“Also Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho road is under construction and the Governor has promised to fix other roads in the state before the end of this administration.
“Workers are being paid on the 25th of every month. By this time tomorrow, I’m sure all workers in the local government and state will begin to smile. Same thing is happening to retirees.”
