The Sabiganna of Iganna Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Soliu Azeez Oyemonla Agunloye IV, has called on residents of the Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State to welcome and cooperate with contractors handling the newly approved road projects across the region.
The monarch made the call in his palace during a royal appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as efforts aimed at accelerating infrastructure development and improving the quality of life for citizens nationwide.
Oba Oyemonla specifically thanked Senator Fatai Buhari for facilitating the reconstruction of the Iseyin to Okeho Road in the Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State.
As the paramount ruler in Iwajowa Local Government Area, the Sabiganna also appealed to President Tinubu to include the Okeho-Iganna-Ayegun Road as part of the access roads linking Nigeria and the Benin Republic. He said the inclusion would further boost the economy and strengthen national infrastructure in Iwajowa LGA.
The traditional ruler further appreciated the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Works, Mr. Rafiu Olarinre Adeladan, for his cooperation and commitment to moving the country forward.
Oba Oyemonla urged host communities in Oke-Ogun to give maximum support to the designated contractors to ensure the successful and timely completion of the awarded road projects.
“The cooperation of our people is very important. I call on all residents in Oke-Ogun to welcome the contractors and work with them so that these projects can be completed on time and for the benefit of all of us,” the monarch said.
