The people of Akinyele State Constituency 2 were in celebration mood as the lawmaker representing them in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Bolaji Saheed Badmus distributed empowerment tools worth millions of naira.
Badmus, who is in his 30s, chairs the House Committee on Local Government, Chieftaincy Matters and State Honours.
Items distributed included motorcylcles, deep freezers, grinding machines, sewing machines, hair dryers, generators, chemical sprayers, herbicides, vulcanizing machine, shoe fling machines, coolers, clippers, gas cookers and cutlasses.
Speaking, Badmus, who said he believes in teaching people how to fish rather than give them fish, added that the tools are to empower and make his constituents self-reliant.
Deputy speaker of the House, Barr. Wasiu Musah led their colleagues which included Honourables Olusegun Olaleye, Akeem Ige, Sangotikun, Oyatokun as well as Olafisoye Wasiu.
At the event which took place at Community High School, Ajibade-Alabata Off Moniya-Iseyin Road, Ibadan, royal fathers, members of the All Progressives Congress, APC were in attendance.
