Oyo state House of Assembly of Tuesday made history with the passage of Western Nigeria Security Network – Amotekun bill.
The new security outfit will be part of the Western Nigeria Security Network which was launched in January by governors of the six states in the South West region and code-named ‘Operation Amotekun.’

In full amotekun-show like regalia, Oyo Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin led other lawmakers for the passage of the bill, showcasing the strength of southwest Nigeria.

Other Southwestern states also passed the bill into law simultaneously.
