The Oyo state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi yesterday joined his counterparts from Ogun; Ibikunle Amosun, Kano; Abdulahi Ganduje and other leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to meet the gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, ahead of Osun rerun election.

The PDP and APC are wooing Omisore ahead of the governorship rerun scheduled for Thursday.
Omisore has suddenly become the beautiful bride of Osun politics and no surprise that even those who few weeks ago hurled insults on him are now beseeching his assistance ahead of tomorrow’s crucial election rerun in selected voting points in the state.
The re-run was declared by the electoral body upon the fact that the 353-votes difference between Adeleke and Oyetola was less than the 3,498 cancelled votes.
The re-run is to be conducted in Orolu LGA (three units, 947 votes), Ife South (two units, 1,314 votes), Ife North (one unit, 353 votes), and Osogbo (one unit, 884 votes).
Almost half of the votes are to be contested in the Ife region where Omisore is believed to be strong and his father reigns as monarch.
While receiving Saraki on Monday, Omisore listed the conditions under which he would work for any of the two leading parties.
“I have given my programmes to both the APC and the PDP. My programme is like this; payment of salaries and pensions. Good governance is what is important to me,” he had told reporters after the meeting.
“Anyone between the two that will do that will get my support. I am passionate about Osun State and my interest is the welfare of the people of this state. I have told those sent to me. At the appropriate time, we will tell you where we are going.”
