Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant, has enjoined the party’s delegates in Oyo state and other South West states to make a better choice by supporting his candidature in the forthcoming primary election.
Oladimeji Fabiyi, chairman, All Atiku Support Groups (AASG), made the call when he represented Atiku at the inauguration of the South West Zone Leadership of the Atiku Democratic Movement at Ibadan.
Fabiyi said Atiku had a clear vision and adequate strength of character to return PDP and the nation back to glory, even as he described the aspirant as a bridge builder, a unifier and a complete democrat, who had remained a loyal friend and a good inlaw to the South West.
He therefore appealed for total support for Atiku considering the enormous loyalty and genuine friendship he had shown to the people of South West.
Fabiyi said Atiku was unhappy over the incessant killings and instability in the country, stressing that as Nigerians approached 2019, they should support the former vice president as he had the competence and unflinching character with and capacity to lead the country out of the woods.
